Description
Over the past two decades the wide availability of powerful computational software such as Mathematica has had a significant effect upon the way calculus is taught and learned. The primary goal of this manual is to show you how Mathematica can help you learn and use calculus. Also, the first chapter of this manual is a tutorial that introduces you to essentially all the basic Mathematica concepts necessary for working your way through the remainder of the manual. This manual was produced entirely with Mathematica 8 and relies upon many of the new features that have been introduced since Mathematica 6. Most of what's contained here works in Mathematica 6, and all of it works in Mathematica 7. Contents Mathematica Basics | Limits and the Derivative | Applications of the Derivative | Integration | Applications of the Integral | Differential Equations | Parametric and Polar Curves | Sequences and Series | Projects Related Topics Calculus and Analysis, Differential Equations, Tutorial and Reference |
