Optica EM

An advanced optical design package for Mathematica

Optica EM is a professional optical design package that performs electro-magnetic computation. It builds on the symbolic, numeric, graphic and mathematical capabilities of Mathematica. In addition to the standard Optica SE features, Optica EM performs full vector diffraction calculations to directly calculate the behaviors of nano-structures, photon sieves, and gratings.

About the Developer

Donald Barnhart has been developing optical design and analysis software in Mathematica since 1991. In 1994, while working on his master's degree, he developed the world's first successful holographic instrument to measure three-dimensional velocity fields in fluids. He completed his PhD in 2001 at Loughborough University in England.

Optica is developed and supported by Dr. Donald Barnhart.

Optica EM requires Mathematica 10 or greater and is compatible with all Mathematica platforms.
