Jorge Villalobos Durán
Jorge became a self-taught Mathematica user during his BA in physics and has been using it extensively since 1996. Jorges current academic interests lie in the area of complex systems, particularly in nonlinear dynamics and networks. Mathematica has become an integral part of all the courses he is currently teaching (a research seminar on complex systems, a social network analysis course, and a mathematical modeling course for undergraduates in all areas).
Jorge is currently working as a postdoc with Centro de Excelencia CeiBA—a joint organization of Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Javeriana—and has also done some consulting for the Colombian Ministry of Education. Jorges teaching experience started in 1998 and has included physics and numerical methods courses for undergraduate physicists and engineers and advanced courses in complex systems. He currently teaches at Universidad de los Andes.
