An Illustrative Example

MathOptimizer Professional enables the numerical solution of sizable nonlinear optimization problems under very general conditions. For example, the figure shown here is a highly optimized packing of 50 non-uniform-sized spheres found by MathOptimizer Professional in less than 10 minutes on a personal computer (as of 2014). The number of decision variables in this model instance is close to 150, and the number of general (mostly non-convex) constraints is more than 1,200.
