Analyze Dynamic Sensitivity
When studying a system, it is sometimes interesting to know which parameters influence certain variables the most. This can be studied using sensitivity analysis.
Insulin signaling in fat cells plays an important role in controlling the glucose level in the body. Insulin binding to receptors causes them to phosphorylate, transducing the insulin signal into the cells and controlling glucose uptake.
This model uses the BioChem Library, which is a free download.
Perform a sensitivity analysis to see which parameters influence the phosphorylated insulin response the most.
The sensitivity bounds show how the variable changes when changing the first parameter.
Comparing the sensitivity bounds for each parameter, you can find the parameters with the wider bands that have a larger influence on the insulin response.
