Average of Uncertain Values
The new function MeanAround reports the mean of a list of values with an estimation of the uncertainty of that mean. If the original values had uncertainties, then the values will be weighted inversely proportionally to the squares of those uncertainties.
This example takes a list of observed values for the Hubble constant and computes their mean.
Plot the observed values over time.
Take all values for the current value of the Hubble parameter.
Compute their mean, using weights proportional to the inverse of the square of the uncertainty.
